If you have a question about franking, then hopefully we have the answer for you here.
Franking is the quick and easy way to manage your mail that can save you time and money while projecting a more professional image of your company.
Franking machines are used by all sizes of companies - from large corporations to sole traders. There are no restrictions on minimum or maximum postage volumes and postage discounts for franked mail are applied to each single item so you receive discounts regardless of how much post you send.
There are a wide range of franking machines on the market. The smaller machines can be rented from about £20 a month, the largest machines cost many £1000s and can process thousands of mail items an hour.

You can also use your franking machine to pay for lots of other Royal Mail services including Business Collections and one-off collections.
The Royal Mail will supply you with pouches, trays or mailbags to help you with the correct presentation of your mail. These are obtained free of charge once you have your franking machine.
Franked mail can be handed in at your local Post Office or Mail Centre or it can be posted in a franked mailbox. Franked mail must not be posted in a regular post box, unless you are using low volume posting envelopes. These low volume posting envelopes can be obtained from your franking machine supplier but can only be used to post up to thirty items of mail per day.
